Job Description


TITLE: Game Manager


BASIC FUNCTION:


The event managers will need to have availability to work sporting events during fall, winter, or spring seasons (including Saturdays). The Athletic Director will assign games that need to be worked prior to the season beginning. Some of the  responsibilities for the Event Managers are listed below:

 

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:


Prepare the venue on the day of the event


Communicate with gate workers all pertinent informations for events that require tickets 

for entry.


Ensure that tickets and starting money is available for all gates, and collect money and 

tickets at the end of the athletic event.


Consult with officials, visiting team, on schedule of events, including any pre-game, or  

            halftime activities, assignment of locker room, and any other pertinent information 

needed during game days.


Coordinate with coaches to ensure that all student-athlete needs are met during game 

days.


Schedule announcer, clock keeper, School Resource Officer, EMT if applicable.


Provide all necessary information to Announcer and any other parties in order for them to 

perform duties.


Responsible for supervision of extracurricular activities. 


Point of contact for officials if issues arise during competition. 


Ensure that all post-game activities are complete, and visiting team, as well as fans and 

officials are able to safely leave the event.

KNOWLEDGE OF:


Basic knowledge of athletics, schedules, and organizational strategies.


KHSAA rules and regulations.


Needs of all student athletes, fans, support staff, officials and home and away coaches


 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


Any combination equivalent to:  a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law.

 

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


All KHSAA required trainings and District Safe Schools Trainings must be completed before the beginning of the season.

Pay is $2,538 per Athletic Season
